Step 1: Open 1st shaft door |

Starting on the lower left hand corner of the area, your first objective is to open
the door to the elevator shaft on the upper right hand corner of the area. Work your
way over to the recess in the wall which is blocked by the door. From here
jump to the third tier of platforms. Pushing the two buttons in the center of the map
will start three moving platforms allowing access the top tier of platforms and finally
the button which will open the door to the shaft. Drop back down to the recess and then
to the bottom of the shaft.
In order to start the steam powered elevator you need both fire and water. To fill
the water tank located under the elevator you will need to open four spigots. The first
two can be reached by crawling left at the water tank and then droping down. The second
two are located in a room to the left of the elevator shaft. Pushing a button in the lower
part of this room will start two moving platforms which allow access to the spigot left
of the large water tank.
To start the furnace you must move the coal in the container on the right hand side of
the area to the container on the left hand side. On each side is a platform with two
switches and a switch near the track which moves the cart. The switch on the left of
the platforms moves the shovel left and right and the switch on the right moves the
shovel up and down. To move the coal, first move the cart to the right side of the track
put the coal inside it then move the cart to back. Next move the coal from the cart to
the container near the furnace. Once you have both the furnace started and the water
tank filled, press the red button between them to activate the elevator.
In order to reach the button that opens the second shaft door you must start the
ventilation fans. Take the elevator up to the first recess on the right by using the
elevator lever to start and stop it. Push the two buttons that start the moving platforms
then drop down and jump over on these. Do a high jump to jump over to the platform on
the right wall and work your way up the ladder, finally flipping a switch which moves
the platform in the center of the area to the left. Drop down and jump on to this
platform and then on to the button which starts the fans. Now work your way back to
the elevator and jump on the fans to the right of the shaft. You will then be propelled
to the button which opens the second shaft door.
Now take the elevator to the recess above the one which leads to the area at the start
of the game. Jump on to the first moving platform and ride it to the top jumping off
on to a conveyor belt where a box is resting. Push the box to the left until it drops
down on a pressure plate below. This will lower a platform to the left. Use this
platform to reach to ladder on the left wall and climb to the top. Now jump along
to the right until you reach the third shaft door.
To gain access to the next are you will need to jump across the weights but before
you can do this you will need to raise them. To do this take the door at the right of the
elvevator and climb up to the ladder, across the shaft, through a narrow passage until
you reach two wheels. Turn the wheels by jumping on top of then and then moving to the
right. Now go back down to the elevator, take the door to the left and carefully jump
across the weights. Once across bounce your way up to a platform above the shaft where
you will find a button to start another platform. After starting this platform you
can return to this spot by going through the door to the right of the elevator if you fall.
Use these last two springs to get to a platform above you. Jump as far as you can to the
right. You will miss the first platform but should land on one right below it. Go right
from here until you see a wooden floor.
You will begin this area by falling through a wooden section of floor and on to some
more fans. Position yourself above the right most fan and at the beginning of your
jump move right as far as you can. You will land on a stone floor with two more fans.
Jump on the left of thse and move left until you land on a third set of fans. Ride the
upper most platform and use the ladder on the wall to the right. Now work your way
up through the small maze of platforms to your left and puah a button which starts another
moving platform. Drop down and use this platform to work your way to the left.

Step 8: Start the clock |

You now have access to the entire game space. In order to start the clock and get
your cheese back, you must collect four gears and place them at points in the clock
mechanism. Two of these gears can be found by dropping down at the left side of the
main platform in this area. The second two are located on ledges at the top sections of
the area. After retrieving the four gears. Use the button to start the four fans under the hanging weight. Ride them up to the gear slots above. Once the clock is started
you will hear a clicking sound and finally the clock will strike one at which point the owl
will drop the cheese near your hole at the beginning of the game. Work your way back down
to the hole and push the cheese in it. Congratulations - you win!
